Based on the ENAT scores obtained by the students admissions were undertaken by the participating Universities. Encouraged by the response sheet from the students, teachers and various institutions, Pan India for ENAT-2008, EPSI has now decided to extend its invitation to deemed universities and self financing institutions for participating in ENAT-2010 to be conducted for disciplines mentioned above and in other disciplines in which your University would be interested. The infrastructure is being extended to 45 cities with capacity of over 300,000 students who can participate across the country. This examination would facilitate the University to relieve itself from gigantic task of paper, pencil examination involving high security risk, leakage of question papers, impersonation and requirement of large number of supervisors. The online test also facilitates students extensively by reducing appearance in number of tests, multiple costs for appearing in examinations, traveling extensively for different examinations besides the family botheration for assisting the students in doing so. In doing so, the transparency of the test facilitating instant results and the merit list with no scope of malpractices supports the system. The easy usability with no chance of cheating due to provision of permutation and combination in the same question papers besides digitizing of the examination through Web Cameras and surveillance cameras makes the system foolproof. These recorded proceedings are available for inspection at all times.

The combined entrance examination is a way forward and tested process being used by International Education Providers and has established its credential through audit by third party agencies. The test also facilitates Universities to display their support for a merit based quality selection through a third party testing process. The test is administered on the scientific principles established and the question bank designed strategically to suit the need of academic programmes. Strict discipline and care has been taken to enable the system to display its credentials appropriately

The examination would fulfil the expectations of executive, legislature judiciary and academic community. ENAT is planned to be promoted judiciously across the schools and open information channels and would soon be visible from October, 2008 across the targeted students.

The applications for ENAT will be available by online & offline modes through banks and participating institutions. The brochure of ENAT would contain the details of the examination process, terms & condition alongwith description of the programmes of the participating University. The participating University shall annex the ENAT application form in their brochure for the convenience of the students. The universities will be provided ENAT scores for admission in their programmes. The participating university will sign a MOU with EPSI covering the scope of examination.

It shall be our pleasure to provide any other information or clarification on the subject to you.

Followup Invitation

Dear Sir,

This is in continuation to our letter of Invitation for participation in ENAT 2009 examinations wherein I had given details about the EPSI (Education Promotion Society for India) and ENAT (EPSI National Admission Test)

EPSI National Admission Test (ENAT) is an Online Combined Entrance Examination focused to be a single window examination for fair and merit based selection in higher education in a transparent manner.   ENAT-2008 for admissions of the session 2008-09 was conducted for various Undergraduate courses such as MBBS, BDS, BE, BPharm, B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Biotechnology, Bachelor of Physical Therapy etc. and Post Graduate courses such as MD, MS, MDS, Master of Physical Therapy, Master of Occupational Therapy, M. Tech. etc.

The test was administered across 22 centers in 19 cities, Pan India. Over 80,000 students for two prestigious Universities from all over the country participated in this examination.  Based on the ENAT scores obtained by the students admissions were undertaken by the participating Universities.  EPSI has now decided to extend its invitation to deemed universities and self financing institutions for participating in ENAT-2009 to be conducted for any examination in which you would be interested. The infrastructure is being extended to 45 cities with capacity of over 2,00,000 students who can participate across the country.

During our initial discussion with some of the universities several issues have emerged and we feet sharing of these issues will not only be important for universities for consideration but will also clarify the benefits of joining the ENAT.  They are:

  • No Revenue Loss To Universities – There is no financial loss to the university by participating in the ENAT examinations as the students continue to purchase the prospectus of the universities.  It is the university’s decision to price the prospectus suitably. The student needs to apply for ENAT examinations for which the examination fees is paid separately i.e. Rs.1000/-, fixed tentatively.  The students get major advantages for being eligible to multiple universities and thus save substantial cost of applications and the personal expenses for appearing in several examinations at different places at different dates.
  • Relived From The Responsibilities: The ENAT Secretariat is working extensively for the Test and is ensuring the quality & protocol of the examinations.  The universities therefore are relived from all anxiety including risk of leakage of papers, impersonation and manipulations in the results at the computer centre.  Moreso, a substantial cost of engagement of faculty for supervision & administrative personnels and hiring centers outside the university’s jurisdiction at different places is also cut off.
  • Syllabus And Question Bank : The syllabus of the various entrance tests conducted across the country has been mapped and a common syllabus for ENAT 2009 has been prepared. Based on this syllabus a Question Bank having large number of questions on different subjects has been developed by us.  These questions will be used for Question Papers to be given to the students which will be different for all the candidates appearing in the Entrance Test.
  • Application Forms : The students will get the facility for filing the Application Form both online and in physical form.  The Application Forms will be sold through a bank by its branches all over the country.
  • EPSI being a 3rd party non profit making agency is creating a specialist team and extensive infrastructure for the conduct of examinations.  The proficiency and the qualitative competition besides transparency and fair, merit based instant communication of results are major benefits.
  • The universities would be entitled to participate in the overall qualitative statement of the examinations and would be eligible for entire data base for its usage.
  • The universities will be able to short list its candidates from a large geographical base and would, thus, have advantage of cross culture representation and position itself for transparent administration process.
  • The universities would also have access to data base for extended progress i.e. new industry customization programmes for students who do not qualify for the programmes of their interest.
  • MOU : The University which decides to participate in ENAT 2009 for Entrance Test for any of its courses will be required to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
