Advantage of ENAT to University |

- Provides fast collation & declaration of results, thus eliminating any scope for manipulation. The University administration gets an instant ENAT score for the purpose for admission. The University has its full discretion for admission on the existing laws being complied by the University.
- Provides simultaneous testing of innumerable examinees countrywide with online test centres in all major cities of India.
- The entire operations for conducting the test will now be the responsibility of ENAT, thus the university is relieved of anxiety i.e. deployment of large human resource, development of question papers, printing, security hassles, use of tones of papers, physical deployment of proctors, declaration of results, legal hurdles in case of any mishappening, etc.

- Gets a much larger geographical reach and better stream of students due to number of University(s) participation with no added costs.
- The University remains important part for the conduct of examination for ensuring quality by being a Member of the examination committee, which holds the responsibility for the conduct of ENAT examination.
GUIDELINES FOR UNIVERSITY PARTICIPATION IN ENAT 2010
- Fill a Requirement Form/Feasibility Drill Template (FDT) for participation enclosed as an Annexure and send it to EPSI.
- Enter into a MOU with EPSI once all the requirements are fulfilled. A draft copy of MOU is enclosed.
- EPSI will be doing Advertisements/Promotion of ENAT 2009 at National Level in all leading Newspapers (Draft copy of Admission Notice attached).
- EPSI will distribute ENAT 2010 Prospectus including Application Form (Draft copy of Prospectus and Application Form attached):
- Offline: Through Bank, ENAT Test Centres and by Post form EPSI office
- Online: Prospectus available on website. Online submission of Application Form using Credit/Debit Card.
- Participating University will also make ENAT 2010 Admission announcement by its Brochure and Advertisement.
- ENAT 2009 Application Form can also be attached and sold alongwith University’s Prospectus.
- EPSI will conduct the Test.
- The participating University will be provided rank list of the candidates generated on the basis of ENAT Scores.
- The participating Universities will admit students on the basis of the rank list provided by EPSI.
OBLIGATIONS OF PARTICIPATING UNIVERSITY
- Will provide EPSI the rights to use the Process and best Practices that it has developed for conducting Entrance Examinations on a National Level.
- To cooperate and render assistance to EPSI and EPSI/ENAT Examination Committee in all matters requested by EPSI including but not limited to Evaluation and Assessment criteria for the Courses offered by PARTICIPATING UNIVERSITY.
- To abide by decisions of EPSI and EPSI/ENAT Examination Committee.
- To suggest eligibility of students for courses offered by it.
- To extend EPSI the rights to conduct Entrance Examination for all courses offered by Participating University.
- Participating University undertakes itself to be bound by sole discretion of EPSI and ENAT Committees in all matters relating to Entrance Examinations.

- To incorporate the minimum Eligibility Criteria set by EPSI in its Advertisement.
- To incorporate the following statement in its Advertisement:
Our University uses ENAT Score for short-listing the candidates for Admission to our Programmes (UG/PG/Diploma/Certificate Course Details).
- To provide a copy of their news paper advertisement pertaining to their Admission Notification to EPSI.
- To pay an annual flat fee of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) for availing ENAT facility. The fee should be sent by a Demand Draft drawn in favour of “EPSI National Admission Test” and payable at New Delhi alongwith MOU (duly signed).
- To ensure that the ENAT Score provided by EPSI containing the database of the candidates are used solely for the purpose of facilitating the admission of the candidates to the University’s programmes only.
- The mere fact that the EPSI extended ENAT facility to the University should not be construed as collaboration between the University and the EPSI in running their programmes.
OBLIGATIONS OF EPSI
- To promote ENAT so as it becomes an Online Combined National Admission Test for Entrance Examinations and be responsible for its fair, transparent administration and its credibility.
- To appoint/ nominate/ approve all members in EPSI/ENAT Committees.
- To take control of the Examination Process and appoint relevant committees to manage the Process. Define the Admission Process (Prospectus, Hall Ticket, Rank Lists etc.). To be the overall in charge of ENAT in the interest of credibility and transparency. To entrust and assign roles/duties/responsibilities to members of various Committees of EPSI. To arrange required professional, requisite infrastructure and Technical know how for ENAT. To take assistance and associate M/s MERITTRAC an existing technical partner of EPSI on technology issues.
- Shall be responsible for releasing advertisements in press, receive applications, screen applications and all other processes required for ENAT.
- To be the controlling body for the conduct of ENAT. To provide all requisite assistance to EPSI/ENAT Examination Committee to validate Question Bank. EPSI reserves the exclusive rights to validate Question Bank, this includes addition / removal of Questions if required.
- Shall have the option to engage any other entity or organisation as the subsidiary organization and use their expertise for the purposes of this Agreement.
- To arrange all required permission, statutory compliances.
- Shall be the owner of all Intellectual property including but not limited to Intellectual property of all materials, Questions in Question Bank, etc. It is clarified that all student data including particulars of students enrolled for ENAT, marks obtained, etc. would be the exclusive Intellectual property of EPSI. Right of Participating University to use information given by EPSI is limited to admitting students to courses for which it has engaged services of EPSI.
- Shall provide section-wise and absolute score of individual candidate alongwith his/her details to Participating University.

ITS Infrastructure Specifications at OTC
All attempts will be made to have PCs at Online Test Centres (OTCs) which adhere to the specifications provided in the table below titled PC Configuration. In some cases the PC configuration may be “higher” than what is mentioned below:

- All attempts will be made to ensure all PCs at OTCs will have the latest Windows patches and Anti-Virus software installed.
- All OTCs will have a LAN network of a minimum speed of 100 Mbps. All PCs in the OTC will be connected to the LAN.
- All OTCs will have broadband Internet connectivity of minimum speed of 512 Kbps and this will be connected to a PC that is inside the OTC.
- The OTC will have a server room and Server will be connected to the LAN network. All attempts will be made to ensure the server room is air-conditioned.
- All attempts will be made to have all OTCs installed with IP Cameras connected to a local
- PC. The IP Cameras will NOT be available for remote access.
- OTCs will be provided with a webcam and a biometric fingerprint reader at the registration desk if the Exam process requires it.
- OTCs will be provided with a printer.
Electricity Specification at OTC
- There will be a UPS at all OTCs. Diesel Generators will be provided at an OTC if it is specifically required for the Exam process.
- All Servers, PCs, networking equipment like switches, routers etc. will be connected to this UPS.
- The UPS capacity will be sufficient to provide minimum of 2 hours of backup when connected to all PCs and networking equipment.
- The UPS will be connected to regular power supply and to Diesel Generator power supply.
- When there is a break in regular power supply Diesel Generator will be switched on within 15mins.
- The Diesel Generator will be able to work for a minimum of 8 hours at a stretch.
- The power from Diesel Generator will be routed through UPS only.
- There will be diesel stock available for running the Diesel Generator for 4 hours.
- During Dry Runs and Live Runs both UPS and Diesel Generator will be in running conditions.
Physical Infrastructure Specification at OTC
- There will be sufficient waiting area for the number of candidates that an OTC can accommodate in one batch of examinations
- There will be sufficient space for registration desks that can accommodate one batch of examinations in an OTC.
- There will be adequate lighting and ventilation (fans or AC) for candidates to be able to comfortably take a test.
- Toilet facilities will be available.
- The OTC will have a facility to be locked and will have a facility to control access.
- The OTCs will provide sand buckets or fire extinguishers as fire safety devices.
People Support Specification at OTC
- The OTC will have adequate IT specialists and Test Administrators. Electrician will be available on call at all OTCs.
Other OTC Specifications
- Only authorize people will be present at an OTC before, during and after an examination.
- During Examinations access to the server room will be only with ENAT authorized people.
- ENAT persons will wear identification badges during their presence at OTCs.
- Unauthorized people are not allowed to carry any portable storage devices into or out of the OTC during the days of Examinations. Portable storage devices include thumb drives, USB drives, external hard disks, laptops, digital music players etc.
